Bernadette has had quite an extensive career that thankfully has no near end in sight. So, what are some things you feel she should do next? TV, Movies, Shows, Music?

I personally love when she does voice overs, and I was just thinking how "The Simpsons" has been around for so many years, and Bernadette has never been on that show. THAT is something I would love to see.
OR some big budget thing like "Finding Nemo."

I know all that stuff is good for her professionally, or at least financially, but I just want her back where she belongs on the Broadway stage.

What type of character would you like to see her play on stage?

Although I'd see anything she did I have to agree I'd LOVE to see her back on Broadway especially because I will live in NY next year and will be able to go when I want to!

It must be in a musical and I'm all for something completely new...maybe a Michael John LaChuisa piece that she could really sink her teeth into. But of course, I'd be happy with her playing Desiree being in the rumored revival of "A Little Night Music". Maybe she'll be Joanne in the NY Philharmonic concert of "Company" next March.

I'd love to see her work with Adam Guettel. I believe she's expressed a lot of admiration for his work.

I guess what I'd most like would be to see her working in smaller-scale, noncommercial shows with some of the more interesting, newer composers.

I'm not interested in seeing Bernadette in one of those corporate engineered, tourist-style shows. That's why I shudder when I hear her name mentioned in connection with the First Wives Club musical. I want to see her in a personal vision--not an entertainment machine.

Oh yes - chills thinking of her in a role like "Margaret Johnson" in "The Light in the Piazza". Imagine it. "Margaret" is one of the most realistic characters ever played on a musical stage. Now, if Adam would just write a little faster and more prolifically.

Being totally selfish about this I would love her to come back to London and do something in the West End. A Sondheim piece would be nice but I'll take anything that's going. Wasn't there some serious talks going on about her playing Fosca here a few years back? A straight play would be fine too.

You might think I'm crazy but I have always thought that she would be great as Miss Jean Brodie. It is such a good play and her comic talents would be beautifully used - as would her great command of pathos. And although it isn't a prerequisite for the role - she sort of looks rather Celtic anyway.

It's odd that she hasn't done anything in London Theatre when you consider all the American's who have. Americans of great talent, too numerous to mention, and those of - shall we say - "wee" talent such as some cast members of a well-known US sit-com.

Here's the deal ... we'll give you back Madonna for keeps if you just let us have Bernadette for a couple of months. She'll be whisked over to Buck House and made Dame Bernadette in no time!

as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....

Don't threaten us with Madonna! We'll loan you Bernadette for free if you keep that one.

Great! But we do need to get rid of Madonna - all she has done here has been negative stuff as far as I am concerned. She has joined the Huntin' Shootin' and Fishin' country set and our wild-life stock has been totally decimated as a result and since we're only a small little island she has to go!

OK, we'll throw in Kevin Spacey and David Soul as well.

as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....

Scottie - we already had one revolution against the British - don't make us have another!

And yes - love the idea of Bernadette tackling "Miss Jean Brodie"...the thing is that when she plays anything in the West End, expect an invasion of Fanadettes on your turf - the Fanadette Bus is amphibious.

I would LOVE to see her play 'Mary' in "Long Day's Journey into Night."

I actually think she, herself, as mentioned wanting to play that role and 'Amanda' in "Glass Menagerie."

Either one would definitely be a thrill to see her in!

Fabulous, I couldn't think of anything nicer ... and wouldn't she be so thrilled and surprised to see all your familiar faces turn up at the stage door so far away from your own patch!

To add to the Wish List ... let us not forget that in the sweet little film "Prince Charming" we actually got to hear a tiny wee bit of Shakespearean verse from Bernadette. Tiny but surely good enough to whet the appetite for more of the same. I am sure she would be a stand-out in a Shakesperean role and I so wish she would consider it if offered.

I am also reminded of the beautiful and tantalising piece of Puccini we heard in Let It Snow. How about an album of classical songs, maybe some lieder and light opera? Do you remember Streisand's "Classical" album? Such a good mezzo soprano voice but so badly recorded? I am sure Bernadette could do so much better with her fabulous soprano range and the experienced people of Angel.

as Bernadette says....just keep moving on.....

The folks "in the know" over on broadwayworld.com are speculating that Hello Dolly is coming to Broadway and that a "major Broadway star" is in talks...some think it's Bernadette.

**I know this is just idle speculation, from people who may--or may not--know anything.
**

I'd like to see Bernadette in another big, all-out musical where she can use her humor, warmth, and understanding of the lyrics to good effect--this Dolly might just be it. Although, as I've said (too many times) I'd love to see her in a non-musical, small, intense comedy-drama in a small off-Broadway theater.

I saw a production of Prime of Miss Jean Brodie this past Spring--I'm thinking,hmm..could work.

I'm dreaming and floating (no not really).
